To Those Who Are Tired of Social Media

Have you ever wondered what you do during waiting times?

Whether you're lining up at a bubble tea shop, waiting for the bus or train, or arriving early at a meeting spot...

Before you know it, you're on social media.

And when you look at the "beautiful photos, someone traveling, fulfilled lives, blog or business revenue reports, likes and thank-you messages for likes, follower count updates and thanks, and so on," you start thinking:

"I want to travel too," "I want more likes," "I want more followers," "I want money," "I want a new iPhone," "Compared to these people, my life sucks (a bit too much lol)"

It's enviable, isn't it?

We end up feeling jealous on a daily basis.

And it makes us tired.

Ah... I want to be free, I want to earn while traveling, I want more followers.

Of course, this doesn't apply to everyone.

But I think everyone has at least once felt "That's nice" when looking at SNS.

If you haven't, you're pretty awesome lol.

Comparing Yourself to Others Exhausts You

This is it.

When you compare yourself to others, no matter what they have or do, it's not important for your own life.

What's more important is what you do and what you want to do.

Walking your own path makes you happier.

Stop comparing yourself to others and instead compare your ideal self with your current self.

You don't need to say, "Because XX has that, I want that!" or "Because XX is doing that, I want to do that!"

Unless it's something truly necessary.

But somehow, we end up comparing ourselves to others.

So, compare your ideal self with your current self and write down what you're missing and what you need to do to get closer to your ideal self.

I write my feelings and thoughts that come to mind every day in a small notebook.

And I occasionally review past notes.

Even if I'm wandering, I can get back on track. It's easy to return.

It clears my mind. I recommend it.

Treat SNS as a Tool

I've written a bunch of thoughts, but uploading various things to SNS is a good thing.

I think it's totally fine to post fulfilled photos, like counts, follower count updates, revenue reports, etc.

As long as it's not something that discriminates or hurts others, it's completely fine.

I also post travel photos and tweets that give off a fulfilled vibe lol.

However, for those who feel jealous or tired after seeing them, please remember:

What is your ideal self doing? What do you have? How can you get closer to it?

This article is also about myself.

If I lose sight of it, I'll read it again.

It's persistent, but it's important, so once more:

There's no need to compare yourself to others. Compare your ideal self with your current self.

Don't worry about other people's follower counts, like counts, or revenue.

Walk your own path.
